Terms and Conditions
01) This program is open to both national and international participants.
02) Every tourist participates in the program at his/her own free will.
03) Every tourist participates in the program on his/her own responsibility and bears full responsibility as to his/her own ability to participate.
04) Borneo Travellers Medal carries no responsibility in case of injury, any damages whatsoever, or any other harm that may be caused by participating throughout this program.
05) Only visitors that have fully and officially registered for the program can participate in the program.
06) The Borneo Travellers Medal application can be downloaded from Play Store and it is free.
07) A registration fee of RM62.00 will be charged upon registering for the program for Gold Level and RM100.00 for Platinum Level.
08) A registration is considered valid on the condition that it has been successfully submitted as stated above and the registration fee is successfully paid. Within three days are required in order for the membership to be activated.
09) Registration as a participant in the program is only valid for one (1) month for Gold Level and additional one(1) more month if registered for Platinum Level. Participants are required to renew their registration if they were still want to continue the program after one(1) month.
10) Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer or debit/credit cards.
11) Participants from other parts of Malaysia, aside from Kota Kinabalu, are required to pay an additional fee of RM12.50 for shipping fee of the medal (for Gold Level). Postage fee is free for Platinum Level. International participants can request for their medals to be sent to them while they are still within Kota Kinabalu city.
12) The Borneo Travellers Medal has the right to suspend, or close, registrations without prior notice.
13) Registration to the Borneo Travellers Program is possible only through the online registration form on the application.
14) All participants must respect and follow the rules and regulations of the program throughout the program.
15) Borneo Travellers Medal has the right to change the terms and conditions regarding participation and registration of the program, without prior notice, by posting such a decision on the website and application of Borneo Travellers Medal.
16) The personal data declared by the participant upon submission of entry form are true and correct. In case the entry form is submitted by a third party, it is ganted that the participant consents to his/her personal data being given to Borneo Travellers Medal by the third party.
17) Personal data of the participants required during the registration procedure are stored and will be used for purposes only related to the completion of the program. By submitting the entry form, each participant consents to the storing of his/her personal data and its uses for the purposes of the program.
18) By participating in this program, tourists are able to explore Sabah while at the same time earing points for visit counts. Participants will receive a bronze medal for visiting 5 places, a silver medal for 10 places and a gold medal for visiting 15 places. Platinum level is also available for participants who are interested. The amount of visited places for Platinum Level is 21 places for Platinum Bronze Medal, 27 for Platinum Silver Medal and 33 for Platinum Gold Medal. The culculation for visited places in the Platinum Level will be the continuity from Gold Level. Hence, participants will receive two medals: Gold Medal (from Gold Level) and any Platinum Medal (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
19) Participants below the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult.
20) Participants can stop at any point of the program and the medal received will correspond to the total amount of the places visited at both levels.
21) Fees are not refundable with postage fee being an exception.
22) The tourists’ attractions in this program are divided into parks, beaches and islands, art gallery and museums, accommodations, places for recreational activities, hiking spots, restaurants and foods, community and cultures and much more.
