For the first time ever, a program uniquely designed for tourists visiting the Land Below the Wind will be launched. This program is known as Borneo Travellers Medal, and joining it requires the downloading of its mobile app. Tourists may download the mobile app from this website and also from the Google Play Store. Registrations are made within the app. The app functions as a platform where tourists can visit various exciting places and document the visits within the app. Once participants reach the 5 visit count milestone, they are entitled to get one (1) bronze medal to be kept as a memento for succeeding in exploring Sabah. Moreover, visiting 10 places may win you a silver medal, and after capturing and documenting 15 locations, you may win a gold medal. After completing all 3 quests, participants are eligible to register for our platinum level, where you can stand to win more prizes!

Objectives

Among the objectives to this program is as an educational tourism program that provides tourists a platform for them to know more information regarding tourists’ attractions in Sabah, too provide a memento for tourists visiting Sabah, to discover and explore the beauty and diversity of cultures, traditions and activities of the Land Below the Wind and to add a flavour in the expansion of the tourism industry in Sabah.
